Haven’t had a lot to say lately – rather low energy. My bloggerly imagination seems to have gone into hibernation. Until I got this email from someone who recently bought a Kindle, and was punning around in his message about it.
Here I sit looking out the windle Trying to think of a rhyme for KindleTo which I replied:
unlike a book its pages will not fold, mutilate or spindle after that the rhymes start to dwindleOnce awakened, the imagination kept going:
Although some decry these e-readers as just another swindle Others say it’s writings’ biggest news since Beowulf met Grindle.Think hibernation is where my imagination belongs?
Okay, happy holidays everyone, and byee
lol! Happy holidays to you, too!
:)) fun!
byee? Sounds like something a teen aged girl might say. 🙂
My husband has a Nook, and LOVES it. I’m still more fond of books at this point.
Hey, I think you did OK with little (rhyme) to work with. I bought a Kindle about a month ago and it has added so much dimension to my life. I’ve always read extensively, but now that the page is soothing to my eyes and a world of books at my fingertips, many free or very, very cheap, I am in heaven. I still read hardcover books, but have found myself wishing they were on my Kindle instead. Really! Yesterday I downloaded “Anywhere Abs,” a Kindle exercise book with timer. When my eyes get tired I turn on text to speech and keep on reading. And I thought Facebook was addictive!
Thanks, all. Anhinga, I’m sure I’ll eventually get one, too, and probably love it just as much. But at this point, as I already have so many books I want to read, I’m still relying on pulped trees and ink.
J, “byee” is something Herb Caen used to use in signing off. I still think of him when I see it.
I think Herb Caen used ‘byee 🙂
