Sports Break!

On one of my wife’s recent trips she got a GPS system for her rental car, and liked it. Knowing my cynical approach to boastful advertising claims masking the technical difficulties often unpleasantly lurking in new contraptions, she said, “but you’d probably hate it.”

I actually had mulled trying GPS systems to some degree, and have friends who like theirs so, not wishing to be boxed in and labeled, I said, “I’d try one.”

And I didn’t give it another thought.
