I’ve meant to tell you, azahar, I’ve gotten a lot of mileage out of the video you linked for me: the Man-Cold.
I’ve forwarded it to numerous coworkers and friends. Mrs. Ombud got quite a kick out of it, too.
This morning she was feeling under the weather. She decided to stay home today, but gave me a lift to BART before she returned home to bed. After we got in the car and headed out she said to me, “you haven’t patted my head and said, ‘poor little bunny.’”
I laughed at that, and we continued down the road.
“I’m waiting,” she said.
As she was helping me out by giving me a lift to the BART train, so I had more time and didn’t have to hurry to catch the 7:15 ferry to SF, I did it. I patted the beret she was wearing. I said, “poor little bunny.”
And she beamed. The dogs watched us from the backseat, expressionless but for their cocked heads, doubtless once more wondering what the hell are they doing now?
Cute. I’m very sick with a cold today, and no one has patted me on the head yet.
My dog thinks it’s weird when people touch or hug. She wants to hump someone’s leg when they do so.
Glad you enjoyed it so much, Ben. 🙂
As I said elsewhere, I am so glad Nog got a flu jab this year. Can you imagine!
Pmousse, consider this a long-distance head pat.
*Spoken with empathy*: “poor little bunny.”
I hope you feel better. I got over the worst of it pretty quick (but am a little concerned it’s going to malinger and limp around my chest and sinuses for weeks, unfortuantely).
And Azahar, come now, wouldn’t Nog look out for you if you came down ill? I’ll bet he’d tend you with gentle attentiveness, now, wouldn’t he?
