The wife, the pups, and I are heading for the Sierra foothills in a few hours. Mostly, when I get my to-do list to-done.
It’s foggy here, very gray and breezy–jacket weather. But as Bay Area weather is predictable by geography (microclimates, they call it), soon we’ll be driving up the river road along the Sacramento river, and I’ll bet we find sunshine sometime when we drive through contra costa county, before we get to the river.
It’s summertime, we’re ready for lazy long summer days. I’m looking forward to being up in the Gold Country again, browsing through stores, expecially bookstores, and strolling with the dogs in the live oak woods and meadows, and eating too muchin cafes and restaurants.
We’ll see you again early next week — I hope by then my SF Giants have pulled the trigger and made a deal for the slugger they need to contend this year!
Hope you’re having a good time. Or had a good time, if you’re back.
Enjoy!
Have fun, and watch out for ticks in gold country!
Thanks, all of you. We had a good trip. I even have some pictures in my camera–I just have to go pry them out. It doesn’t take a crowbar–except maybe to get me out of my easychair …
